Resortation VS Renovation

Vintage trailer enthusiast have a line drawn in the sand between 'restoration' and 'renovation'.  It comes down to expertise of the person performing the job, money spent, materials used, and lots of research.

A restoration is defined as the act of restoring, renewal, revival or reestablishment.  Returning something to a former, original, normal or unimpaired condition.  This takes a real pro, lots of time and money, research and effort.
A renovation is restoring to a good condition, making new or as if new again, repairing, reinvigorating, refreshing and reviving.  This process hopefully makes the trailer safe to travel, comfortable and nice looking!  That is what I am after.
So, let the renovation begin.

I am one lucky gal.  My husband is a retired, rewired, sheet metal man.  He loves working on vintage trailers.  We have a beautiful 1962 Safari Airstream, that we love.

Our son Travis takes some wonderful photographs.  He documented a lot of the Airstreams work, and will take a lot of shots of the new trailer as well.  A big thank you to Travis!

Derald in action!
